Abstrak

Kompleksitas kejahatan menjadikan aparat penegak hukum kesulitan dalam mengumpulkan alat bukti. Bukti forensik menjadi semakin penting dalam proses pembuktian suatu tindak pidana. Pemanfaatan bukti forensik oleh aparat penegak hukum dalam upaya menyatakan dan membuktikan seseorang bersalah atau telah melakukan tindak pidana dengan keyakinan penuh. Pentingnya bukti forensik dalam pembuktian tindak pidana terletak pada kemampuan untuk menyediakan informasi penting tentang bagaimana kejahatan dilakukan dan siapa yang melakukannya, informasi mana yang dapat digunakan dalam pembuktian dan informasi tersebut dapat diterima dan diyakini oleh hakim untuk menentukan seseorang bersalah atau telah terbukti melakukan tindak pidana.
